Home > obagi skin products

One of the top priorities of everyone today is staying beautiful.  Ads on TV, books, articles, newspapers and just about every other aspect is filled with advertisements about the “fountain of youth” and beauty secrets to fight the signs of aging. The Obagi System was designed to go beyond just temporarily fixing the signs of unhealthy skin.

The Obagi System was developed by dermatologists and is stronger than over the counter products. It is a very high quality product. The System contains 6 different steps to follow.  It is designed to correct underlying skin problems and also generate healthy, new skin cells to combat the signs of aging in addition to acne blemishes and make the skin appear glowing and resilient.

What does the System accomplish?

As we age, the cells break down due to environmental factors such as UV Rays, pollution, and other external factors. The Obagi System is designed to stimulate growth cells and in addition, help your skin build up a defense against these external, environmental factors.

How does the System work?

The system contains a six-step process that is relatively easy to learn. Each product has a step number on it and also shows whether it is to be used during the day or during the night. The Obagi System is formulated to accelerate cell turnover, reduce hyperpigmentation of the skin, and very importantly, increase collagen and elastin production. Everyone seems to be troubled by age spots and dark circles, which these products are intended to, eliminate age spots and dark circles.  In the end, your skin should be stronger and healthier.

Anyone can benefit from the use of Obagi. The Obagi System could be the solution for anyone who has issues such as damaged skin from the sun, fine lines or wrinkles, acne and acne scares, or overall wants a healthier more glowing complexion.

Before using any products, it is best to consult the advice of your dermatologist. If any redness or irritation occurs be sure to mention this to your doctor and adhere to their recommendations and advice.

Should I take accutane?

Archived in the category: obagi skin products

Alright, I’m a teenager, and has been suffering from acne for about 2 years now. I’m asian, specifically korean, have oily skin, and I’m currently on Obagi. And it doesn’t seem to solve my problem. I’ve tried proactiv, all the stuff in OTC products, and I’m thinking about accutane. I know the side effects or what not, but I’m wondering if I should really make a big deal out of this, and try this medication. And, I have mild acne. I don’t have cystic, or nodule acne. I just have a lot of blemishes, acne scars, whiteheads that grow every night, and blackheads, and red bumps.

PLEASE HELP. ):

My gf has purchased accutane online without prescription and cured her acne in 3 months! She was on 30 mg tablets. You’ d better to consult with your doctor anyway, cause accutane might have some side effects. Also when you are taking accutane, do not smoke. It is not recommended! I am sure you will cure it easily, it is just a matter of time.
oh…here is the link, it might help , if you do not have a nice insurance.

I feel like I have tried EVERYTHING and nothing has seemed to help so I’m wondering if anyone can suggest something that might help? I am in mid-late 20’s and have been battling acne for almost 5 years. It’s not a little bit of acne, I break out on my cheeks and I have a new pimple almost every day and I get cystic acne on my neck. I have normal/oily skin.

I have tried the following products that didn’t do much:
DDF blemish foaming cleanser
Murad acne complex starter kit
Proactiv (this helped but REALLY dried my skin)
Neutrogena oil-free acne wash
Neutrogena oil-free acne stress control
Obagi nu-derm
Cetaphil for normal to oily skin
Clinique acne solutions

I’ve also used cleansers by
St. Ives
Biore
Clearasil
The list goes on…

I have also seen dozens of dermatologists and I’ve done the whole retin-A thing and tazorac and differin and whatever other crap they could possibly prescribe for acne (including dozens of different antibiotics). I’ve had weekly facials, I’ve gotten chemical peels, micros, used a high-frequency thing that kills bacteria, I’ve been under blue lights and red lights and used lasers…
I’ve seen some of the best dermatologists in America and still nothing.

I am currently taking yaz because it was between that and acutane and yaz’s side effects seemed a little less severe.

Is there a product that I haven’t come across that might help? Or maybe a bunch of different products that might work together that someone has tried?

Hey

There is no one answer for this question but from my experience if you really want to cure your acne there are two recommended methods that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.

Firstly and more important in my opinion and experience, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that’s causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.
There are only few good Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to cure your acne from the inside.

Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their programs they share their great knowledge with other acne sufferers. Anyhow, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

You can find honest and comprehensive review about the best programs in the market today in this helpful article:

The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.
There are many acne skin care products available in the market right now and it’s not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.
When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:
ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Proactiv, Vilante and some others.
From my experience Clearpores cleansing system works very well. Check this website to learn a lot more about their different systems and limited time offers:

I hope that these tips will be helpful for you

My sister asked me to get her something to do with "Obagi Skin Care" for her birthday. She also was interested in Anti-Aging creams or skin treatment, or whatever its called. Where can I find this stuff? She was really insistent on the Obagi Skin Care, but I don’t know where to buy it.

I have been a fan of Obagi Skin Care since it came out to the general public. It has worked great, and yes, it is hard to find. I found a few sites that offer it, but all were very expensive or not worth it. I finally found a site that offered really good quality Obagi and anti-aging products, so it is the only site I use anymore :) The site is:
http://www.skinproductsonline.com/

There main page says:
Thousands of skin care products and skin care – now specializing in obagi skin care! Skin Products Online also offers wrinkle creams, anti aging skin care, body scrubs, lotions, body firming lotions, and organic skin care.

I am a 26 year old female that has been dealing with acne since I was 12. I am currently using the Obagi Nu Derm program, while I find my skin feels nice and looks healthy, I still deal with spots and enlarged pores. I have been looking into Pro Activ and found their main ingredient was Benzoyl Peroxzide. I have used this ingredient before, and in my eyes they controlled to a certain level, and with both still got pimples. My skin is completely hormone balanced, and due to allergies I can’t not take any prescribed medicines for my hormones. Out of all of this, which way is the best way to go and what are the side effects of using either product for such long periods of time????

I know you said that you can’t take prescriptions due to allergies. I am sensitive as well, I’m 25 years old and would like to suggest Tazorac cream. Unlike Retin-A and similar products it does not have possible side effects that effect the liver. Rather than Benzyl Peroxide it contains Benzyl alcohol at 1.0% and Tzarotene at 0.05%. It has reduced my pores and has helped with scarring. When my skin gets too dryed out (mainly around the nose area) I take a break from it and use antibiotic ointment to moisturize the flakiness. (This also is great to take away redness and scarring). Hope this helps. I have used everything by the way, including accutane!

i’d always been using acne products like salylic acid cleanser and BP lotion and proactiv stuff etc etc. my skin has never really been acne-free from those products
just recently I had a light chemical peel and i am forced to use just the cetaphil and obagi moisturizer.. i find the gentle cleanser actually feel a lot better than all these harsh stuff even those i don’t have sensitive skin.
Instead of going back to the program, should i just use the gentlest cleanser, like cetaphil or purpose, and use blotting sheets during the days, and do exfoliate twice a week, and go get a good exfoliation facial once or twice a month. isn’t that better than using all these chemical on me?

Using less chemicals is always a great idea. I find that if I use anything with salicylic acid, I break out worse in the long run. I stick to Cetaphil or Arbonne products (depending on my money situation at the time). With the Arbonne it is mostly botanical ingredients, no harsh chemicals.

Hey there – I was thinking about trying these out. I have HUGE pores which make my skin look quite thick and rough, if you know what I mean – and acne that doesnt really respond to much (and I’m allergic to BP to boot)….I’ve heard that I should expect drying. Lots of drying. If anyone has tried it, what did you think, and how long can I expect to be peeling? is it bad enough to be self conscious at work about? I work in a health setting and people tend to freak out about everything….
